Dark Honey
Rainy SeasonHarvested during the rainy season from Zambia's Miombo trees, this honey is darker, richer, and more intense.
Why it's dark:
During the rains, Miombo trees such as Brachystegia, Julbernardia, and Isoberlinia produce mineral-rich nectar and honeydew. The high moisture levels and dense forest vegetation result in nectar with higher mineral and antioxidant content, giving the honey its deep amber to dark brown color and bold, malty flavor.
